The government plays a big role in our society and it keeps everyone in control. People trust the government to keep the citizens safe. The citizens expect the government to keep things in line and handle things when they get out of line. Our government is a democracy. That means the people are free to speak and choose their own religion. In a communist government, the people are not free to choose religion or have the freedom of speech. They live in fear under their communist government.
Jakob Perez 7 Period Government plays a big role. They keep us people under control and without government, this world would be full of crimes. they also want to keep the bad guys in custody so that they dont cause more trouble.
I think that government plays a big role in our society. If it wasn't for government, most of us would probably dead. That is because the government makes laws and those laws help us survive (ex. don't drink while driving, ALWAYS have your seat belt on when the car or any other vehicle that provides a seat belt is moving, 21 is when you can start drinking alcohol etc.). so that is why I think government plays a big role on society.
