Step One: review perfect paragraph notes; make sure your essay paragraphs follow the rules in the notes.

 

Step two: make sure you correct all sentence fragments and run-ons. Look at your notes on fragments and run-ons to help you with this process.

 

Step three: edit at least two sentences in your paper; turn those sentences into truisms.

 

Step four: add at least one simile or metaphor

 

Step five: correct conventions like capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.
