  1. the diffrence between persausion and asking is you say "mom can i get an ipad" and she wil be like no and then you say "mom can we go to the store to and get an ipad so i can do my homework?"and she will probibly say yes!!

I believe that the two differ because if you are for example using persuasion to get an ipad because your parents said no, you can give reasons that lead up to getting an ipad. Like, I can use it for homework and it's useful for you to because you can use it for and at work, and for paying bills, and traveling. Persuading your parents to get you something is basically giving them useful resons that make them want to get it for you. Now, if you are just asking for permission from your parents to get an ipad its different. You are just going straight up to them and taking the answer they give you whether its yes or no. You usually don't give them reasons, you just say hey mom and dad, can i get an ipad? pretty please?! Thats what makes persuasion different from permission.

  4. Well, I feel that the difference between persuasion and asking permission is that persuasion convinces people to do or belive things according to what you want them to. Asking permission is just asking if you can do something rather than getting someone to do something by your command.

  5. The difference is that persuasion is convincing but asking them for permission is just asking them. Persuasion have reasons added to your answer so they would believe it. So in this world we persuade them so it's a good choice so they would believe.

  6. I beleive the difference between the two is, persuation is convincing someone to do something. Asking for permission is different because you are asking them to do or buy something. As you can see the two differ.

  7. With pursuasion, you make the person do what you want and you try to convince them with an argument. With permission, you don't have to do any convincing to the person, your letting the person make the decision. Samantha Barcenas (samoasb@yahoo.com)

  8. Thank you for all of your responses. You seem to have a firm grasp of the concept of persuasion. I guess a good follow-up would be when does persuasion go too far?

  9. With persuasion you want somebody to belive the same as you.Asking for permission is kind of the same as trying to make somebody to believe you.

  10. When you persuade someone they belive you. But permission is when you ask somebody to do something or have something and they say Yes or No
